So we went to the Ultra-Sound!!

Everything looks great, but didn't learn anything new!! He said he expected 9 but he thought one may be hiding!! Her due date was either this friday or sometime over the weekend!! But he did check all the heartbeats, and they are perfect!! He said they are just too big to know for sure! We will be checking her temperature which is the most accurate, but NEVER FUN to do!! Once it gets to 99 she will deliver in a 24 hour period. I'm exhausted just thinking about it, poor Mama last time she had them 2 hours apart we started at 5pm and ended at like 7 the next morning!! So I will keep you posted, if you have any questions at all please call me at 801-513-0063! Last time I had people staying up with me wanting to know the progress!! This is so fun, and we are coming to the wire crazy to think we only have a few days left!! SO EXCITING!!!!!! I will also be posting pictures as soon as I can!!!

Okay one more really fun thing!!!

So we have had Bear now for about 7 months, the couple he had come from told us the craziest story about him!! They own a cabin up in Island Park, and they were with a bunch of families in tents, one night they were all asleep when they heard what seemed like heavy steps outside the tent! They look out, and there goes a black bear bum, and a little bear bum running out of camp, and here comes Bear chasing them!! Bear had chased a black bear and her cub out of camp!! FUN STORY!!!!!

You can see from this photo that she is getting that baby pouch!! This was taken a week ago! She has been extra slobbery, really needy, and a little more anxious thats how I knew she was pregnant! Then when that baby pouch showed up, we knew that there were babies in there!! SO EXCITED!!

BELLA IS PREGNANT!!!!!!!

So it's OFFICIAL Bella is prego !!!!! The vet says she is in PERFECT condition!! Now those of you who are interested in puppys they will be due December 31st! Which means you can take them in the middle of Febuary! We will be taking her in 4 days before, and getting the exact due date, and how many puppys to expect! We will start a list of people who have given me deposits, these people will be assured a puppy! If you want a male or female and have given a deposit, if we don't produce what you want then you will get your deposit back! Last time we had 5 males, and 4 females! Also color...last time we had all black, it is possible that we can have brown or landseer, but there may be only one if that! I am EXCITED for this adventure , I have ABSOLUTELY LOVED my Newfi's, they truely are everything that has been written about them!! Please contact me, and we can get you your baby!!!

So CRAZY!! I can't believe that they are all gone!! I am SO EXCITED for all of you that have these babies, you all were AMAZING and I feel that each puppy will be SO LOVED!!! I will be posting pictures of the puppys as they grow, their new owners are excited to share their babies with everyone!! I will tell you when Bella gets pregnant again, it won't be for a while it has REALLY taken a toll on her body and I can't wait for her to feel normal again, that was a HUGE litter!!! It will most likely be next October so we would have Christmas puppys, but we are trying to decide exactly, until then we will enjoy just 2 dogs for now!!!! 1 more puppy left!!!

So baby girl is gone!! So CRAZY how fast that happened!!! But SO EXCITED for her, and her new home!!! We have baby boy left, he has the black lepard collar!! He is SO SWEET!!! Such a dolly!!! He is very docile, and yet LOVES to play they are all getting into the chewing phase!! Remember this is not that they are wanting to DESTROY.....well that too!!! But it's because they are teething, and their teeth hurt that is why they chew, so give them something TO chew on!! They even will lose teeth!! Cute huh!! Also those that have puppys without other dogs to play with, socialize your puppy, right now is the perfect time!! They are used to other dogs they had alot to play with, this is VERY good for them!! REMEMBER nutrition is everything, their coats will start to stink, and they will lose their shine so give them a HIGH quality dog food!! Just SO EXCITED for all of you, and this new adventure!! Also if you know of anyone who wants a Newf, have them give me a call, for either baby boy, or our next litter!!!!

2 Puppys LEFT!!!

Well we only have 2 puppys left!!! Congrats on Dreyfus!!! He is SO STINKIN CUTE!!! Baby Girl, and Black lepard collar boy, are the last!!! We have had alot of calls or emails, now it is to the point of who can get their money here the fastest, and who we feel is the best for these two!! The family's that we have met have been AWESOME!! We LOVE that everyone LOVES these puppys so much!! We keep getting updates, and the puppys are SO HAPPY, and that just makes everything SO FUN!! 3 PUPPYS LEFT!!!!

We just sold a male, the one with the peace sign!! Congrat's Jon!!! So we have 3 puppys left, the female and two males! Someone is coming tonight, and then we will be down to 2!! Make sure you let me know if you are interested!! The new owners of the puppys who have been sold, are sending me pictures and have been telling me of their progress!! Alot of people who have called have wondered how old the puppys are, on thursday they will be 8 weeks!! They are just barely old enough to go home!! Our last female is actually bigger than the two boys, which is funny because she was the smallest of the females, but she has caught up she is a big girl!! She is my childrens favorite right now she is VERY sweet, and will just hang out in your arms!! The other two boys are the black, and white stripe, and the blue lepard collars!! The blue lepard is the dominant of the 2, but is very sweet!! The black, and white collar LOVES chewing on toys, when everyone else is playing he's in the corner chewing on a toy, they all will hang out in your arms FOREVER!! Alot of people have asked who are the most docile of the group, they all are that is the fun of a NEWF!! They play hard, and they hang out for the rest of the day that is what is soo fun about them!!! I'm expecting someone tonightto take another puppy, keep looking at the pictures to see who is left!! HELLO!!

Just got back from our FIRST trip of the summer!! Because of the puppys we just couldn't get away!! We are going to switch Bella's litter cycle so we are not having puppys every summer, but every winter! And we don't know how many litters there will be, I don't want to overwhelm Bella or do anything that will hurt her!! That way we can actually have a summer, my kids will REALLY appreciate that!! All 5 puppys are gone, SO CRAZY!! It's much quieter here, I think Bella is less overwhelmed, but at the same time is REALLY confused!! It will interesting how she does when they are all gone! We have 4 more left, 3 males, and our last female!! We have 1 big male left, but the other 2 are catching up quickly!! I have had such sweet people tell me how their puppys are doing, how their first nights went!! They are all happy, and have adjusted sooo well!! Let me know if you are wanting a puppy, and you can take your puppy home!!!

This has been quite the experience, this being our first litter it has really been an AMAZING process!! I will have all the puppy kits ready, and tell you everything you need to know!! They can go home a week from tomorrow!!! As its drawing near I am so excited for them to start this new adventure, but at the same time sad and but not worried AT ALL!!! The people I have met that are taking these babies are AMAZING!!! We have sold 4, and have 5 left!! But tomorrow I am having a showing, and expect another one will be sold!! So don't delay!!! Only a week and a half, and these babies can come home!!!!! SO EXCITING!!!!

GRIZZLY!!!!!

This is our biggest baby boy!!! He has been sold, but he is SO FREEKIN cute!!! Things have been so crazy with having showings of my house, and the puppys I feel INSANE!!!! We have 4 puppys sold, just 5 more left!!! And 2 of those just need to give me deposits!! I PROMISE I will be doing more pictures of the ones not spoken for, I just haven't had time!! So at least you can see from this picture how they have grown!! They are growling, and playing with balls they follow us everywhere, and they are actually eating real food now!! They tried it yesturday, and they LOVE it!!! I want to post a video, and I will soon!!! Make sure you call me if you are wanting to see puppys, but only those SERIOUS about buying, and READY to put down a deposit!!! I am excited for you to meet them!!! They are THE BOMB DIGGITY!!!!

Okay everybody, fun new thing!! When you come to meet your puppy in the next few days, I want you to bring a collar for them, personalized just from you!! You can put a little charm on it, or whatever you want to do!! You can even bring a special blanket or toy so that is will smell like Bella, and the puppys brothers, and sisters, they will drag that thing everywhere! It makes it an easier transition for the puppy! My Husband and I were talking yesturday about how they are just babies, and I hope you understand that when you take them home, they are big bodies with LITTLE brains!! So PLEASE take them to puppy classes, Newfoundlands ONLY want to please you so give them the skills to do so!! They learn SO quickly, but they do better with praise then anything else!! The great thing about this is that I am not desperate to sell them, there are plenty of people who want them, so I can be picky on who they go to!! I HAVE to know that they will be COMPLETELY loved!! And so far the people I have talked to have only been AMAZING!! SO I am excited for you to get to know these babies!! They are SO FREEKIN CUTE!!!

4 more weeks!!!

Okay everyone!!! Just 4 more weeks till these puppys are coming home!!! If you are REALLY interested make sure that you give me a call, so we can get you your puppy!!! I will be taking pictures of each individual puppy with their own special tag on it!! Also I am letting people come, and see them in a week from thursday, their personalites will be REALLY showing by then!! But ONLY for people who are SERIOUSLY considering buying one, or who have put down money!! Some people have called to just see them, because they have never seen one before, I ask that those people do not come, because it takes ALOT to get my little family ready for you, and I would rather only do it for people who are interested in buying a puppy!! I will not be having an open house for them, I am letting those who have put money down see them first, and have first pick, second ect., so get your deposits into me, so you can get on the list!!! You can also meet Bella, and Bear at that time, Bella is a TOTAL sweet heart, but will still be a little anxious but if we do it one at a time she will be great!! Bear on the other hand will be AWESOME to play with, and you can get to know what a Newfi is all about!!!! I am SO EXCITED for you to meet these babies, they are amazing and absolutely ADORABLE!!!

Bear meet's the Puppys!!!!!!

So it HAPPENED!!!!!! Papa Bear met his BABIES!!!!!! We had them both outside, Trent was holding the baby, and Bella was right there licking it, when Bear walk's right up, and STOP'S!!!! LOL!! It was hysterical the puppy starts whining, and Bear tuck's his tail under and slowly walk's up!! Bella couldn't care less she actually walked away to get a drink!!! Bear sniffed the puppy, and absolutely didn't know what to do with himself!! He knew it was a baby, and he kept freeking out when Bella kept coming over and licking it!!! It was really sweet to watch!! He hasn't met the whole litter yet, and he hasn't been in her territory where the puppys are yet, so we will see if that changes but so far SOOO GOOD!!!! WEE HOO!!!!

Just a little side note!!!!!

So today Trent was looking at Bear's paper's, and notice's that it says NEBRASKA!!!! So ALLLL this time we have thought he came from New England!! I was picturing him on this pretty little New England plain but NOPE.....Nebraska!!! LOL!!! When we had seen the N.E we thought WOW NEW ENGLAND!!! Yep... that's how smart we are!!! LOL!!!!

They are gettin BIG!!!!!

So it's been a little while since my last entry!! I'll get a picture next time, but just a little info!!! The puppys are getting SO CHUBBY!! They are just opening their eye's, and learning how to walk!! They look like drunk little soldier's, half crawling, and walking sooooo STINKITY cute!!!! Bella is doing great feeding them, and I have to MAKE her get out of the box to have some HER time!!! But she is REALLY thin which the Vet had warned me about, these babies are definately taking a toll.....What we go through for our children!!! :) On Thursday Bear will meet them for the first time which I hope will be good! Bella hasn't given Bear the time of day, till just yesturday, and she even played with him a little, but that is SOOOO different than him being in the same room as her babies!! We will have to see what happen's!!! Our lives have just started a comfortable pace which is REALLY nice, I get a full night sleep now!!! YEAHHHHHH, MEEEEE!!!!!! :)

FUN NEWFI FACT'S!!!

I truely have NEVER been a dog lover, I really haven't but since having these dog's I can totally see why people go COOKOO, after these dog's so here are some FUN fact's!!!
1. Did you know that Napoleon Bonapart was rescued by a Newfoundland, when he was drowning in the ocean?
2. Nana in Peter Pan was a Landseer Newfoundland!
3. Lewis and Clark had a Newfoundland on their journey, and when one of them died, it starved itself to death, from not leaving his grave!
4. In world war II. A Newfoundland was given a medal of honor for rescuing people who were drowning after their ship was attacked!!
5. Newfoundland's have webbed feet, and broad chest's to combat the ocean, they do not doggie paddle, but do the breast stroke!!
6. They are known as the "babysitter" I heard a story of a woman who was talking to her friend by the pool, her toddler would crawl to the pool, and the Newf would grab it by it's diaper, and bring it back and sit, again and again this would go on!!!
7. In their description it is known for it's SWEETNESS, isn't that interesting what other dog do you know of that talk's about personality!!
8. They might be big, but they actually only eat as much as a Lab!
9. They are working dog's, they need to feel like they are doing something, put a doggie backpack on them when you go hiking, make them run around pulling a tree limb, they LOVE it!!

Poor MAMA, she's just miserable!! We are just waiting, waiting for these babies to come!!! Meanwhile Bear is taking care of her, it is REALLY sweet to watch!!!

BELLA'S HAVING PUPPY'S!!!!!!

So being that I am new at this, I got the due date WRONG!!!!! I have been thinking this whole time I have 2 week's left!!! NOPE!!! Two DAY'S!!!!!! Bella is due on SUNDAY!!!!!! It is SO exciting!!!!!!!!! So now it is just getting all the preparation's for her!!! Our first litter!!!! SO FUN!!! I will post puppy's as we go along, and hopefully all will go well!!!!!

King!!! The perfect Bear for Bella!!!!

We finally found the perfect mate for Bella!! He is from New England he was on a ranch there for the first year and a half!! Then he came to Utah, and was with a couple until we found him!! He is the sweetest black bear we have ever known!! He is 3 years old, and in perfect breeding condition!! Usually I would be skepital about bringing in a male dog into my home, but these are Newfi's!!!! He has the funniest personality he literally laugh's it's really fun to see, and he is extremely intellegent!!! We now have our perfect pair!!!!

ISABELLA OF THE SHADY HOLLOW

Bella is our beautiful brown female!! She weighs 130 pound's, and is in perfect condition!! She is our sweet baby girl! We got her from South Dakota when she was 2 month's, and she was a BIG baby!! The first thing I noticed was how unbelieveably sweet she was, she was our first Newfi and I often wondered if they were everything they said they were!! I was NOT disappointed!! She only ever want's to please you, which is what they say about Newfi's!! She is VERY aware of everything around her, she want's to know where the kid's are at all time's!! No wonder they call them "The Babysitter"!! She is fabulous with all animal's in fact has a few deer friend's in our forrest, they will come right up a few feet way, she doesn't bark, she just sit's with her tongue out, and stare's!! These dog's are so big it's like being around people, it's a really neat experience to be in their presence!!
